Southern Star Academy
Southern Star Academy was founded in 2008 by owner and principal Mrs Danielle Small. Her vision was to create a safe, warm and encouraging dance space for the dancers of Dalby. A place where they can learn, grow and explore the magic of dance.
Our teachers are fully qualified with a passion for dance education, continually developing their skills and knowledge to ensure our students in this small town, dance big! While Southern Star caters to the everyday student who wishes to attend regular dance classes and perform in our local recitals, we also offer competition, exams and travel opportunities to the driven and committed performer.
At Southern Star we pride ourselves on the ability to offer a wide range of dance styles to a wide range of abilities. From ballet to hip hop, beginners to advanced, starting with our twinkle toes at the age of 2 there is something for everyone at Southern Star. It is our greatest joy to see our students embracing dance with open hearts and happy faces!
We are very excited to announce the launch of our new Gymnastics Program launching in 2026 with Qualified Gymnastics Coach Phily Simpkins!
